A first-class villa on the hills of Tuscany. Our family just returned to the U.S. after a three-week stay at Villa Segale. We had hoped for a trip of a lifetime, and Villa Segale helped deliver that trip in all respects. Our family of eleven, ranging in ages from 6 to 69, thoroughly enjoyed the recently-restored villa, the surrounding acreage of vineyards/olive and fruit trees, the pool, and the magnificent view of Lucca and Pisa. We used the villa as a 'base' from which family members could travel by auto or train to Venice, Florence, Rome and other parts of Italy, and that worked out extremely well. Family members said they looked forward to returning to the villa for rest and relaxation before continuing to explore Italy. We would definitely recommend Villa Segale to our friends and family, and we certainly hope to return someday soon!

Villa Segale is heaven on hearth! Villa Segale took our breath away...we had the most incredible vacation at this beautiful property!!! Everything was perfection from start to finish- the villa was spacious and beautiful but still comfortable. The views were out of this world - truly breathtaking!!! We had more than enough room for two families and it was so nice to have so many en suite bathrooms. Eating meals on the patio with a view of Lucca was an experience I will never forget!!! The pool was amazing too- perfect for a dip after a long day of sightseeing. This was truly the most perfect vacation I could have ever asked for and we will definitely return to Villa Segale again!!!!

This is a place where minds will be changed, habits questioned and quality of your life will spike all the way to the top. With 6 bedrooms each outfitted with perfect vintage linens and exquisite bathrooms, you will marvel at how the old and the new come together this gracefully. What we wanted was to bring our people to a secluded spot where we could enjoy life at its fullest without being bothered by anything or anyone. That's what we got. And i will do it again as soon as i can.

A truly special and stunning villa. We were amazed at the beauty and tranquility of Villa Segale. We enjoyed 5 days there with our three boys and have never been more relaxed. The views are better than any postcard and the villa is exceptionally well appointed and equipped. We will be back!

Absolutely Magnifico! From the moment our group of 12 arrived at Villa Segale we knew our time in Italy was going to be a dream come true. The vistas are breathtaking, the home is well appointed and very comfortable. We did much of our own cooking enjoying the outside living area around the beautiful stone table and cooking on the open fire. We would gathered on the terrace before dinner and enjoy the freshly picked figs from nearby trees. The villa is an ideal location to many day trips. We have already recommend Villa Segale to our friends and would love to to return someday soon!

The views are breathtaking. Immediately in front of the villa there are the grape vines and olive grove that are part of the property. Whether we were looking out of our bedroom windows, relaxing on the front porch or by the pool or on the outdoor dining terrace, we were overcome with the beauty of the property and views. Even more beautiful than the pictures. You just can’t get enough of it!

This is the ultimate italian villa experience. At first I felt compelled to hide this treasure so that the rest of the world could not find out. After experiencing it myself, I came back on two separate occasions to share villa Segale with my family on my side and my wife's side of the family. In all, I've had the pleasure of staying at villa Segale on three occasions. Having been to Italy on more than a dozen occasions and staying at many wonderful places, I feel Segale is quite special and unique. I recommended Segale to a work colleague who also had a wonderful experience. Now that I've shared Segale with my extended family and friends, I am ready to share my experience with the rest of the world -- because some things in life are too good to not share.

This is our third Villa rental in Tuscany and clearly the best. I have climbed many, many mountains in search of the quality of the view that you get routinely from the front patio, each bedroom window and the oversize outdoor dining table under the grapevines. The view is spectacular. The feeling is that of a large land owner without all the headaches that go with having a large estate! The owner provides exceptional customer service. Before your stay and during your stay, there is exceptional communication and responsiveness. We had three evening meals in the house so we could enjoy the views with wine. The Lucca valley is absolutely stunning in the evening sun into the night lights. This Villa and this owner get my highest ratings. Lucca is way under appreciated as a Tuscan location and the owner cares deeply about his clients.

I live in Florence and I have been in this fantastic place three times already. Knowing very well the local reality, I can say that this is ,without any doubt, one of the most beautiful, relaxing and interesting places where I've spent my holidays recently. The care with which the house was renovated, the attention to every detail, the big panoramic swimming pool, the two splendid terraces and breathtaking views are just some of the elements that characterize this amazing and lovely place. Everything in the house is perfect and the owner is extremely kind and helpful. A real pearl of Tuscany!!!

The villa is quite simply amazing! A historic property with views that I can't believe are possible to match. Beautifully decorated with period furniture and all the modern conveniences you will need. Villa Segale is surrounded by pure beauty, olive and fig trees, grape vines, wild herbs for use in your cooking and a patio and view that makes you realize just why Tuscany is a dream vacation. This will definitely not be my last stay at Villa Segale. Thanks!

We had perfect lunches and dinners on the terrace, beautiful afternoons by the pool and simply great time overlooking other hills and Lucca from this amazing property. The property has it's own very special spirit and charm. Will definitely recommend it to my friends!

You will fall in love with this villa!! The pictures are beautiful, but when you are there, it is breathtaking. The panoramic view is just breathtaking!! You, literally, cannot take your eyes from the view!! The villa is a 11th century stone home with modern conveniences. Beautiful. Spacious. Clean. The verandas with grapevines canopying above you, as you read, eat or drink reminds you that you are in a very special place. The cool refreshing pool. Trails behind the villa and the road down to the ancient church. Olive groves and vineyards surround the villa and will excite the explorer in you. You will not be bored! In fact, it will be hard to leave this idyllic spot. Our family has travelled extensively, but we all agree this is the one we hope to return to.

Stunning farmhouse delivers on all fronts! The photos and description on the website do not serve Villa Segale well. It is a spectacular setting with the perfect, well-appointed, spacious farmhouse. We brought our family of twelve from the U.S. including 3 generations ranging in age from 2 to 65, to Lucca for vacation and to connect with our Italian roots. We enjoyed both staying at the villa/magnificent pool and exploring the countryside in northern Tuscany. Florence, Cinque Terre, Lucca and Volterra were some of our favorites and easily reached from Villa Segale. We reveled in having days to completely relax at the pool with a good book, fun family and a large glass of iced coffee with Bailey's! Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven with us! We hope to return to make more family memories.

Vacation of a lifetime!! This villa was beyond all of our expectations. As beautiful as the pictures are, they cannot capture the true beauty of the villa and its surroundings. In addition, the owner is simply amazing and so accommodating. There were 6 of us staying here and we were all so impressed with every single aspect and attention to detail. We will definitely come back in the near future and we highly recommend this location.
